Love, passion and enthusiasm are words which describe how Frank Panos feels about football. He lives for the game. As he puts it, “family comes first and football comes second in my life”. Frank started playing football at Leaside High School in 1985. He continued his playing career at the University of Guelph where has was a captain and played for five years. He came close to making into the CFL but came up short. Immediately after playing he started coaching. He coached at Leaside H S for several years, as well as in Shriners All Star classics and in the Northern Football Conference. His next stop was York University where he coached for ten years. During that period he also coached in the OVFL with the Lawrence Park Wildcats for two years. He then moved over to the Toronto Thunder for ten years and will be back with the Wildcats in 2011.
Frank is a players coach and has coached over 650 players in the OVFL. He has seen many of them continue on to play in the CIS, NCAA, CFL and NFL. He has the outmost respect for the values of football and has also been a strong supporter of the OVFL. Frank has captured three OVFL Championships in ten years and was selected coach of the year in 2009 and 2010.
