 Tina Turner became involved with Guelph Minor Football back in 1985, and helped with the reorganizing of the association. Over the last twenty six years, Tina has played a major role in the growth of Guelph Minor Football sitting on the executive for all of the 26 years and for the last ten years as President. Guelph Minor Football expanded from their house league program to include a Varsity and Junior Varsity team in the OVFL, a spring Flag Football program, and spring Six-a-Side program. Tina is one of the founding members of Southwestern Ontario Football Association of Leagues and has actively sat on their board since its conception.
For the past ten years Tina has been involved in the administration side of preparing Team Ontario (s) for playing in the National Tournament, the Football Canada Cup, often acting as General Manager of the teams.
Presently Tina is the Executive Director of Ontario Football Alliance and the Chair of Football Canada Tackle Chair Committee, actively trying to bring the football community together in Ontario to make the sport stronger.
Tina and her husband Wayne, enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren. |
