He later moved to Jupiter Florida where his spend most of his childhood and teenage years. His new home is about 2200 kilometers from his last home, playing at West Park high school, for the Niagara Spears Junior Varsity football team. Johnny ran track and was the athlete of the year at his middle school.

It wasn’t until High School, when Johnny was introduced to football. His first game he rushed for over 150 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. His sophomore year he moved up to compete at the Varsity level with players older than him. He played a key role in upsetting heavily favoured Royal Palm Beach High School, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring a key touchdown. Moving to Canada with his family in December has been a huge adjustment however playing football has assisted with the transition. Overall Johnny loves to play football, works hard and would like to take football as far as it can lead him. On this day, the young man makes a move and then darts quickly to the outside and outruns all defenders to the end zone for the game winning touchdown. The touchdown was around 50 yards, not nearly as far as Johnny has travelled, but nonetheless full of challenges that Johnny has embraced
and successfully overcome.
