Mitch LaPlaunt – Oshawa Hawkeyes Tight End – 5’10” 175 LBS, TE/SBThe offensive game plan has changed for the upcoming opponent this weekend. Spread offense rather than ball control run game. Either way, Mitch Laplaunt will be on the football field due to his skills and versatility he has developed as a young player. Mitch can play tight end, slot back, kickoff return and make a tackle or two on defense. With the combination of size, speed and sure hands it is no surprise that Mitch is currently the leading receiver in catches and yardage in the OVFL Peewee league. Mitch greatest asset, is his attitude and leadership skills on the field. Mitch demonstrates unselfishness by blocking downfield tenaciously for his fellow teammates when his is not carrying the football himself. His hustle and determination for his teammates is second to none. This fall, Mitch has decided to play football for the COMFL Oshawa Hawkeye Peewee team and the Sinclair High School football team in Whitby Ontario. Mitch is only 13 years old and has just begun his football career with 4 seasons under his belt. With the guidance of his parents and his own ambition and positive attitude Mitch will be force on the football field in Ontario in the years to come.
