HOW TO CALCULATE THE DIVISION WINNERS
Most Points (Wins - Ties - OT Loss) – If teams are tied after Most Points then move to tiebreaker below
DIVISION WINNERS CALCULATIONS IF TIED (To Break a Tie within a Division)

Note:
If more than two teams are tied the tiebreaker will be used in the order below until a team is eliminated.
After one team is eliminated then the remaining teams will restart the order of tiebreaker with number 1.
The divisional tiebreaker steps;
1. Head-to-head competition
2. Most wins in games played within the division.
3. Most wins in common games (games played against the same opponents outside of division).
4. Strength of wins (total wins of all teams defeated added together)
5. Strength of schedule (wins of all teams played added together)
6. Best percentage using total points scored and allowed in divisional games only
Percentage = (points scored - points allowed / points allowed x 100).
7. Best percentage using total points scored and allowed all games
Percentage = (points scored – points allowed / points allowed x 100).
8. Least points allowed division.
9. Least points allowed all games combined.

HOW TO CALCULATE WILD CARD AND PLAYOFF RANKING
NOTES:
• Divisional winners will be ranked 1 and 2 (1 and 2 will be determined by using the criteria below).
• Then the remaining wild-card teams will be set 3, 4, 5, and 6 (by using the criteria below).
• The playoff tree can be followed for the remainder of the playoffs

WILD CARD AND RANKING CALCULATIONS IF TIED
(To Break a Tie for the Wild-card Team or Teams and ranking in the playoffs)
1. If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply the division tiebreaker (see above)
2. If some of the tied clubs are from the same division, apply the division tiebreaker to eliminate all but 1
club from each division and then apply the following steps for the remaining clubs.
3. If the tied clubs are from different division, apply the following steps.
If necessary to break ties to determine the Wild Card teams from each conference and the site of their playoff
games, the following steps will be taken:

These teams will be ranked in the playoffs and keep this ranking throughout the playoffs and all further games
(conference semis, conference finals and OVFL championships). These rankings will determine home field
advantage for the playoff games.
