Varsity Tipster Conference Finals

One thing is certain, there is no home field advantage. Playing in the biggest venue in all of Canada, the OVFL Conference finals have set themselves up on a grand stage for what surely will be two incredible games. In the Adams we have the "love them or hate them" Essex Ravens going up against the Hamilton Ironmen. The Ironmen have risen from adversity all season long, this is a team that has been extremely talented the last few seasons but hasn't been able to put together that championship formula. We all know how things looked early on for this team, but this Tipster is impressed how this coaching staff has rallied their charges to forget the off-field shenanigans and rise up against adversity. A very strong performance against a good Sault team last week puts the boys from Hamilton at the cusp of the finals. The running game of Kotar, and the incredible Defence that the Ironmen are known for is their best chance to pull out a victory this week. Austin Kennedy (I'll dub him "The Wheels from Windsor") stands in their way. Kennedy has led this very potent offense all season long with the help from his main backfield partner Crawford, and of course we can't forget the big men on the line. I see the Hamilton defence stifling the Ravens run game for much of this contest... however at some point in time The Ravens will pop off a couple of big gainers. Since I can't pick a tie, my hunch is telling me the Ravens Offense will be a little too much for the Ironmen Defence. It'll be close, but the Ravens take it 20 -14.
